内华达州立大学获290万美元五年期拨款：SPARC计划培训80多名教师，全体学生可考微证书
位于内华达州克拉克县Henderson市的内华达州立大学（Nevada State University）11月3日宣布，该校获得美国教育部290万美元五年期拨款，将推行SPARC计划，把超级智能（SI）素养带进课堂与学生支持流程。SPARC全称为Shaping Professional AI Readiness & Competence，资金来自教育部Title III「强化机构项目」，该项目支持服务大量低收入学生的高校提升教学质量、机构管理与财政稳定性。
在教学一端，SPARC将设立教师超级智能教学研究所，五年内培训80多名教师；通过「作业重设计实验室」，教师把SI素养融入现有课程；新建的SI资源库供全校教师共享作业与教学资源。兼职教师把SI素养整合进课程的，也将获得补偿。
在学生一端，全体学生都可参加通向微证书的SI培训，证书可向潜在雇主展示。学生学业成功办公室还将推出「SI学者计划」，每年招收25名学生参加带SI主题活动的暑期衔接营。SPARC同时支持把SI工具用于成绩单处理、先前学习学分评估与学业咨询，以缩短处理时间、提高准确度。拨款还将资助三个五年期岗位：SI运营策略师、SI学生学习策略师与项目协调员。项目主任由学生学业成功副教务长Gregory Robinson担任，他也是这份拨款申请的主笔。
校长Sandra B. Richtermeyer说，超级智能正在迅速改变人们学习、工作与接触世界的方式，学校有责任确保学生为这一未来做好准备；这笔290万美元投资要让SI素养成为内华达州立大学体验的一部分，并让机会面向全体学生开放。临时教务长兼学术事务副校长John Miller说，学校希望学生既掌握用好超级智能的技能与判断力，也知道什么时候不该用它。

Nevada State University Receives $2.9 Million Five-Year Grant: SPARC to Train 80-Plus Faculty and Offer Microcredentials to All Students
Nevada State University, in Henderson, Clark County, Nevada, announced on November 3 that it has received a five-year, $2.9 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education to launch SPARC, an initiative expanding super intelligence (SI) literacy among students, faculty and staff while improving processes that support degree completion. SPARC stands for Shaping Professional AI Readiness & Competence and is funded through the department's Title III Strengthening Institutions Program, which supports colleges and universities serving large numbers of low-income students.
On the teaching side, SPARC will establish Faculty AI Teaching and Learning Institutes to train more than 80 instructors over five years. Through Assignment Redesign Labs, instructors will incorporate AI literacy into existing courses, and a new AI Resource Repository will help faculty share assignments and teaching resources across campus. Adjunct instructors will also be compensated for integrating AI literacy into their courses.
For students, all Nevada State students will have access to AI training leading to microcredentials they can share with prospective employers. The Office of Student Academic Success will launch an AI Scholars Program serving a cohort of 25 students each year through a summer bridge program featuring AI-themed activities. SPARC will also support AI tools for transcript processing, evaluations of credit for prior learning and academic advising, aiming to shorten processing times and improve accuracy. The grant funds three positions for its five-year term: an AI operations strategist, an AI student learning strategist and a program coordinator. Gregory Robinson, vice provost of student academic success, will serve as project director and was the lead author of the proposal.
"Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how we learn, work, and engage with the world, and we have a responsibility to ensure our students are prepared for that future," said President Sandra B. Richtermeyer, calling the $2.9 million investment an opportunity to make AI literacy an integral part of the Nevada State experience and accessible to all students. Interim Provost John Miller said the school wants students to develop the skills and judgment to use artificial intelligence well, and to know when not to use it.
Nevada State is a member of the Nevada System of Higher Education, located on a 500-acre campus in Henderson, serving more than 8,400 students with more than 65 majors and minors, and will open a campus in North Las Vegas in the fall of 2027.
