Marie Jacquot Makes Her SF Symphony Debut with Prokofiev's 'Romeo and Juliet' November 13–15
Davies Symphony Hall (201 Van Ness Ave) in San Francisco, California, hosts the San Francisco Symphony on November 13–15, as French conductor Marie Jacquot makes her debut with the orchestra at 7:30 p.m. on November 13 and 14 and 2 p.m. on November 15.
Selections from Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet headline the program; Japanese violinist Sayaka Shoji plays Respighi's Concerto gregoriano, and the concert opens with Augusta Holmès's symphonic poem Andromède — the Respighi and Holmès works in their first San Francisco Symphony performances.
