张弦指挥莫扎特《安魂曲》：西雅图交响乐团11月19日起连演三场
华盛顿州金县西雅图（Seattle）市，西雅图交响乐团将于11月19日、21日、22日在 Benaroya Hall 演出莫扎特《安魂曲》，由乐团音乐总监、中国指挥家张弦（Xian Zhang）执棒。这是张弦执掌该团的第二个乐季。
同场还有一项世界首演：作曲家 Joe Pereira 的《定音鼓协奏曲》由本团首席定音鼓 Eric Schweikert 独奏，该作由西雅图交响乐团参与委约。《安魂曲》的独唱阵容包括华人女高音张美桂（Mei Gui Zhang）、女中音 Sarah Larsen、男高音 Eric Ferring 与男低音 Dashon Burton，西雅图交响乐团合唱团参演。
三场演出时间分别为19日晚7时30分、21日晚8时、22日下午2时。Benaroya Hall 本季完成公共空间翻新后重新全面开放。
这个乐季里，西雅图的华人音乐家面孔不少：开季之夜由钢琴家王羽佳担纲普罗科菲耶夫《第三钢琴协奏曲》，华裔钢琴家 George Li 与华人钢琴家 Tony Siqi Yun 也在本季完成与该团的首度合作。
Xian Zhang Conducts Mozart's Requiem with the Seattle Symphony, Nov. 19-22
In Seattle, King County, Washington, the Seattle Symphony performs Mozart's Requiem at Benaroya Hall on Nov. 19, 21 and 22 under Music Director Xian Zhang, now in her second season leading the orchestra.
The program also brings a world premiere: composer Joe Pereira's Timpani Concerto, a Seattle Symphony co-commission, played by Principal Timpani Eric Schweikert. The Requiem's soloists are soprano Mei Gui Zhang, mezzo-soprano Sarah Larsen, tenor Eric Ferring and bass Dashon Burton, with the Seattle Symphony Chorale.
Performances are Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 21 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. Benaroya Hall fully reopens this season with reimagined public spaces.
Chinese artists run through the Seattle season: pianist Yuja Wang headlined Opening Night in Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3, and pianists George Li and Tony Siqi Yun also make their first appearances with the orchestra this season.
