Authorized Kim Kardashian Biography: Police Held a Gun to Her Head in Uganda in 2018 After Ye Feared He Was Being Drugged
Citizen Kim, the authorized biography of Kim Kardashian by journalist Jonathan Van Meter, was published on October 27 and includes extensive disclosures about her marriage to Kanye West, now known as Ye. According to the book's account from reality-show executive producer Farnaz Farjam, while the couple was filming at a remote location in Uganda in 2018, Ye became paranoid and agitated and convinced local police that people were trying to drug him. Police raided everyone's rooms with guns out, and the book says one of the policemen held a gun to Kim's head. In the book, Kim also reveals that she invited Ye to bring his wife Bianca Censori to sleep over at her home last Christmas and plans to invite them again this year, and that her co-parenting communication with her ex-husband often goes through Bianca.
Farjam said she arranged a private jet to get her crew out after the incident, and that she forgave Ye because he lives with bipolar disorder and was in a manic place. Van Meter said he chose not to interview Ye himself, out of concern for Ye's mental health; Ye has not addressed the book's claims. Kim and Ye married in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2022; they share four children.
On co-parenting, Kim says in the book: "That's the father of my kids, I'll never not worry about him." Of the Christmas invitation, she says: "Last Christmas, I said, 'Sleep over on Christmas Eve. Bring your girlfriend.' I'm easy! 'Let's all do Christmas together.' And I'll recommend it again this year." She adds that she will "sweep everything under the rug, all the horrible things he has said about me, so that the kids can see their father," and that the two do not talk much, communicating mostly through Bianca and Ye's manager.
