The 64th Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade Sails December 12 with a Drone Show First
Burton Chace Park (13650 Mindanao Way) in Marina del Rey, Los Angeles County, California, hosts the 64th Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade on Saturday, December 12: park festivities start at 4:00 p.m., a drone light show flies at 5:45 p.m., and about 75 decorated boats parade the main channel from 6 to 8:00 p.m.
This year's theme is "Hollywood Under the Stars," with David Chokachi, an original Baywatch cast member, as grand marshal. Live narration runs at Burton Chace Park and Fisherman's Village, and the park adds roaming carolers, food trucks, a photo booth and a kids' art corner, all free.
Viewing is free. Parking by the park in County Lot 77 is $8; Fisherman's Village parking is hourly cash with a $15 maximum. The parade runs rain or shine unless the Coast Guard issues a small-craft advisory.
