Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff have filed for divorce, Page Six reported. According to New York Supreme Court records obtained exclusively by the outlet, the two jointly filed on Friday, October 30, with Qualley listed as the plaintiff. They have also filed a settlement agreement, which is still being processed by the court.
The couple started dating in the summer of 2021 after meeting at a party, got engaged in Paris in May 2022, and married in New Jersey in August 2023. Antonoff, 42, is the frontman of Bleachers and a Grammy-winning music producer. Qualley, 32, known for works including "Maid," called Antonoff her "person" in a Harper's Bazaar interview just ahead of the wedding.
Signs of trouble surfaced this summer: Antonoff attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding solo, sparking breakup speculation, and reportedly told fellow guests the two were in a "tiff" and he did not want to put up a facade. Page Six confirmed on July 8 that the couple had separated, just short of three years of marriage.
A source told Page Six the filing "was inevitable," saying it took the pair some time to iron out a few things and adjust to this chapter before making it official, and that they still have immense respect for one another. The source denied any "dramatic reason" such as infidelity, saying communication was the main challenge. Us Weekly subsequently reported that Qualley initiated the breakup, with busy schedules and distance among the factors.
Just this week, Antonoff said performing songs about Qualley is still a "really beautiful" experience despite their split. Neither has publicly spoken about ending the marriage, and Page Six has reached out to their representatives for comment.
