In Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida, Miami Hurricanes quarterback Darian Mensah earned glowing reviews for his NFL Draft prospects from ESPN's College GameDay panel on October 31.
Panelist Desmond Howard said Mensah is playing at such a high level that he may compete for the number one quarterback spot in the draft, praising his football IQ, his catchable ball, and his leadership, noting that teammates gravitated toward him as soon as he arrived on campus. Mensah, a senior in his first season with the Hurricanes, has led Miami to a 7-0 start and the No. 1 spot in the AP Top 25. He has completed 166 of 204 passes for 2,151 yards and 22 touchdowns with one interception, adding 20 rushes for 73 yards and two touchdowns.
