夏令时11月1日凌晨结束：威斯康星州应急管理局提醒拨钟时同步测试烟雾与一氧化碳报警器
威斯康星州应急管理局（Wisconsin Emergency Management）旗下公共安全项目ReadyWisconsin发布提醒：夏令时于11月1日（周日）凌晨2时结束，时钟回拨一小时、转入标准时间；居民拨钟时应顺手检查家中的烟雾与一氧化碳报警器和应急用品。
威斯康星州应急管理局局长格雷格·恩格尔（Greg Engle）表示：「回拨时钟很容易，但做好准备需要一点规划。威斯康星居民应利用多出来的这一小时，多花几步工夫，保护家人与所爱的人。」
该局指出，能正常工作的烟雾与一氧化碳报警器可能意味着生与死的差别：它们既能警示火灾烟雾，也能警示炉具等设备泄漏的无形有害气体。居民应测试家中全部报警器，至少每年更换一次电池，并查看报警器的生产日期。
更换年限方面，一氧化碳报警器应约每5至7年更换一次，烟雾报警器应每10年更换一次。该局同时建议居民借此时机检视家庭应急计划与取暖设备状况。
Daylight Saving Time Ends November 1: Wisconsin Emergency Management Urges Residents to Test Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms as Clocks Fall Back
ReadyWisconsin, the public safety campaign of Wisconsin Emergency Management, is reminding residents that daylight saving time ends on Sunday, November 1 at 2 a.m., when clocks fall back one hour to standard time, and urging them to use the time change to check smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and emergency supplies.
'Turning back the clocks is easy, but being prepared takes a little bit of planning,' said Wisconsin Emergency Management Administrator Greg Engle. 'Wisconsinites should take advantage of that extra hour to take a few extra steps to protect their families and loved ones.'
Working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms could mean the difference between life and death, the agency said: they alert residents to smoke from a fire or to harmful invisible gas leaks from furnaces and other appliances. Residents should test all alarms in the home and replace batteries at least once a year.
Residents should also check the manufacture date on their alarms: carbon monoxide alarms should be replaced around every five to seven years, and smoke alarms should be replaced every 10 years. The agency also recommends reviewing household emergency plans and heating equipment at the same time.
