佛蒙特州推广冬季房屋保暖：专业密封保温最高可获7000美元补贴
佛蒙特州州长菲尔·斯科特（Phil Scott）把每周例行记者会开到了奇滕登县威努斯基市，与「Button Up Vermont」保暖行动的合作伙伴一起，推广房屋防寒保暖、供暖季援助计划以及该州的保暖施工劳动力队伍。活动在威努斯基市新设的技工学校佛蒙特建筑学院（Vermont Construction Academy）举行。

Vermont Promotes Winter Weatherization With Rebates of up to $7,000
Vermont Governor Phil Scott took his weekly press conference to Winooski, in Chittenden County, joining partners in the Button Up Vermont campaign to promote weatherization, heating season assistance programs and Vermont's weatherization workforce. The event was held at Winooski's new trade school, the Vermont Construction Academy (VCA).
Scott said that at a time when the cost of heating fuel continues to increase, the state needs to do everything it can to help Vermonters. He said Button Up Vermont offers resources, information and rebates that can help homeowners button up their homes so they can save money and use less energy.
According to Efficiency Vermont, the state's energy efficiency utility, its Home Performance with ENERGY STAR weatherization rebate offers 75 percent cash back on professional weatherization projects, up to $7,000. Customers of Vermont Gas Systems (VGS) can access similar rebates, with low-income customers eligible for coverage of 90 percent of a weatherization project, up to $9,500. Both Efficiency Vermont and VGS also work with Vermont lenders to offer no-interest or low-interest financing for weatherization and related home energy improvements.
Residents doing their own work can get $100 cash back for DIY weatherization projects, such as adding weatherstripping to doors or air sealing small leaks. Rental property owners can also get up to $7,000 per unit in weatherization rebates. Statewide, Vermont's five Weatherization Assistance Programs offer free weatherization services to income-eligible households.
Also speaking at the event were Peter Walke, managing director of Efficiency Vermont, and Wendy McGillivray, executive director and director of weatherization at NETO, one of the state's Weatherization Assistance Programs. Media were invited to view the Construction Academy's high school pre-apprentice boot camp class before the press event.
