位于加州洛杉矶县的 Santa Clarita 市将于11月11日（星期三）退伍军人节当天上午11时，在老城 Newhall 的退伍军人历史广场（Veterans Historical Plaza，24275 N. Walnut Street）举行年度退伍军人节仪式，向本地退伍军人、现役军人及其家属致敬。市府邀请社区居民与市议会成员一同参加；二十多年来，该市每年都在退伍军人节把社区聚在一起，表彰曾在美国武装部队服役者的勇气、服务与牺牲。
仪式内容包括市议会议员致辞、Hart 高中无伴奏合唱团 Hartbeat 的音乐表演，以及由哥伦布骑士会 Santa Clarita 大会与越战退伍军人协会第355分会主持的正式换旗仪式，伴随军号曲《熄灯号》（Taps）吹奏。仪式还设有「失踪者致敬」（Missing Man Tribute），纪念战俘（POW）与作战失踪人员（MIA）；设有各军种表彰环节，并特别表彰军属家庭，包括金星家庭（Gold Star Families）。

City of Santa Clarita in Los Angeles County, California to Honor Veterans and Military Families at Annual Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11 at Veterans Historical Plaza
The City of Santa Clarita, in Los Angeles County, California, will hold its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11, at 11:00 a.m. at Veterans Historical Plaza (24275 N. Walnut Street) in Old Town Newhall, honoring local veterans, currently serving military members and their families. The city invites community members to join the Santa Clarita City Council for the ceremony; for more than two decades, the city has brought the community together on Veterans Day to recognize the courage, service and sacrifice of the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
The ceremony will feature remarks from members of the Santa Clarita City Council, musical performances by Hart High School's A-Cappella Choir, Hartbeat, and a formal Changing of the Flags by the Knights of Columbus Santa Clarita Assembly and Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 355, accompanied by the solemn playing of 'Taps.' A Missing Man Tribute will recognize prisoners of war (POW) and those missing in action (MIA), and the ceremony will include a Recognition of Branches of Service as well as a special recognition of military families, including Gold Star Families.
The ceremony is a collaboration between the City of Santa Clarita and American Legion Post 507, Blue Star Mothers of America Santa Clarita Chapter CA #46, the College of the Canyons Veterans Program, Knights of Columbus Santa Clarita Assembly 2421, Prayer Angels for the Military, Santa Clarita Valley Veterans Memorial, Inc., the Santa Clarita Veteran Services Collaborative, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 355 and the Santa Clarita Valley Young Marines.
