肯塔基州全州，民主党联邦参议员候选人查尔斯·布克的竞选团队10月30日发布声明称，该团队遭到境外黑客攻击，攻击者试图侵入竞选团队的通信系统与竞选网站，并疑似进入了至少一名工作人员的信号账户。
竞选团队表示，联邦调查局及其他执法机构已采取措施，在11月3日选举前加固竞选系统与私人数据；联邦调查局路易斯维尔办事处拒绝置评。
布克团队把这次攻击与以往选举周期中渗透关键竞选与选举系统、煽动不信任的企图相提并论，并称境外行为者在大选临近时采取这种手段，恰恰说明本方竞选处于有利位置。
布克正在第三次竞选联邦参议员，对手是共和党联邦众议员安迪·巴尔，两人争夺即将退休的共和党参议员米奇·麦康奈尔留下的席位。竞选团队说，相关情况已通报执法部门，调查仍在进行中。

Kentucky Senate Candidate Booker's Campaign Reports Overseas Cyberattack on October 30: Staffer's Signal Account Apparently Breached, FBI Involved
Kentucky — The U.S. Senate campaign of Democrat Charles Booker said in an October 30 statement that it was the target of an overseas cyberattack, in which hackers attempted to gain access to the campaign's communication systems and website and apparently gained access to at least one staffer's Signal account.
Campaign officials said the FBI, along with additional law enforcement agencies, have taken steps to secure the campaign's systems and private data ahead of the November 3 election. The FBI's Louisville office declined to comment.
The campaign compared the attack to efforts during past election cycles to infiltrate critical campaign and election systems to incite mistrust, and said foreign actors attempting such a move so close to the election is proof the campaign is in a position to win.
Booker is running for the U.S. Senate for the third time, against Republican U.S. Rep. Andy Barr, for the seat of retiring Republican Senator Mitch McConnell. The campaign said the matter has been reported to law enforcement and the investigation is ongoing.
