STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT Launches in North America on October 29 for Switch 2, Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S With a New Gamma Worldline Story
Spike Chunsoft announced on October 29 in Huntington Beach, California, that STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is available now in North America for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with digital editions on the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store.
The game revisits STEINS;GATE, originally released in 2009, with completely revamped visuals and a new storyline: the "Gamma Worldline," presented as a new route that was not depicted in the original release. In this worldline, the time machine was never completed and D-Mails — messages capable of altering the past — do not exist, and protagonist Rintaro Okabe finds himself cast into this new world after enduring countless ordeals. The game is developed by MAGES.
The physical Standard Edition and SteelBook Edition for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5 include a sticker as a first-print-run bonus. The Digital Deluxe Edition for Switch 2, Switch and PS5 includes the game, the VISUAL COLLECTION digital art book, the soundtrack, STEINS;GATE 15th LIVE ONE WORLD live event footage with English subtitles, and the game STEINS;GATE Octet of Shifting Space. The publisher advises installing the day-one patch before playing. Physical editions are scheduled to launch in the UK and EU on November 3, 2026.
Spike Chunsoft also released a launch trailer for the game on its official YouTube channel, showing the revamped visuals and the new worldline storyline.
