Utah Medical Products, Inc., headquartered in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, on October 29 reported the corrected results of its tender offer, in which it repurchased 327,740 shares of its common stock at $75 per share for a total of $24,580,500. The tender offer was made on September 24 for up to 650,000 shares and expired on Tuesday, October 27; the final number of shares repurchased was about half the offer maximum. The company said administration fees of $107,720 will be paid to the depositary and information agent and $6,732 in filing fees to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission; the effective cost of the tender offer was $75.35 per share, and the federal government will also levy a 1% excise tax on share repurchases. After the repurchase, the company has 2,849,041 shares outstanding, including 1,775 employee option shares exercised in October.
