Bisignano Family Fund Donates $250 to Trump Accounts of Every Child Aged 2 to 8 in Brooklyn Zip Code 11234
Frank J. Bisignano — a Brooklyn native of the Old Mill Basin neighborhood who serves as Commissioner of the Social Security Administration, Chief Executive Officer of the Internal Revenue Service, and Executive-in-Charge of Trump Accounts — announced on October 29 in Brooklyn, New York, that The Bisignano Family Fund will donate $250 to the Trump Accounts of every child aged two to eight years old residing in zip code 11234, his hometown zip code.
"Brooklyn is home for me. My life was shaped by the people, schools, and neighborhoods in Marine Park, Mill Basin, Bergen Beach, and Flatlands," said Bisignano, a former public company chief executive officer. "This donation is an investment in the children of Brooklyn, giving them a boost in their personal wealth building journeys."
The donations are placed in each child's personal Trump Account, invested in a fund that tracks the performance of top U.S. companies, and able to grow tax-deferred throughout their lifetime. Zip code 11234 ranks in the top one percent of zip codes ranked by population in the United States, according to the announcement.
Trump Accounts are investment accounts designed to grow with the U.S. economy and build long-term savings. This month, the Treasury Department created Trump Accounts for all eligible children in the United States with valid Social Security Numbers. There are nearly 70 million total Trump Accounts, and over 27 million accounts currently have contributions totaling nearly $9 billion from families, friends, donors, and the U.S. government. Parents and legal guardians need to activate their child's Trump Account for it to receive contributions from family, friends, and employers; children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, are eligible to receive a $1,000 seed contribution from the U.S. Treasury. Information and activation are available at TrumpAccounts.gov and through the official Trump Accounts app.
