此后，霍奇曼自2025年12月起至2026年1月，又在Signal、Zangi和WhatsApp等私密通讯应用中使用了各自不同的网络身份，并与多名女性交换露骨性信息，明知须登记却从未在登记文件中申报这些身份。
检察官艾琳·克里根表示，登记要求包括登记全部网络身份，以便执法部门监控，而霍奇曼已是第二次违反同一法律；美国法警局表示，曼彻斯特警方协助调查了此案，案件属于司法部“安全童年计划”的一部分。
Manchester, New Hampshire Man Sentenced Again for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender: Federal Court Imposes 24 Months in Prison Plus 15 Years of Supervision
Christopher Hodgeman, a resident of Manchester in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, has been sentenced in federal court for again failing to register as a sex offender. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Hampshire announced on October 28 that Hodgeman, 35, was sentenced in federal court in Concord, Merrimack County, to 24 months in prison followed by 15 years of supervised release, for violating the federal Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.
According to court documents, Hodgeman was required to register after a 2021 conviction for possessing child sexual exploitation material. In 2024, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced for failing to register online identities he used on messaging apps, where he had used hidden accounts to exchange sexual messages with someone he believed to be a minor.
Afterward, from December 2025 through January 2026, Hodgeman used additional separate online identities on private messaging apps including Signal, Zangi and WhatsApp, and exchanged explicit messages with several women, never reporting those identities in his registration even though he knew he was required to do so.
Prosecutor Erin Creegan said the registration requirement includes registering all online identities so law enforcement can monitor offenders, and that this was Hodgeman's second violation of the same law. The U.S. Marshals Service said Manchester police assisted in the investigation, and that the case is part of the Justice Department's Project Safe Childhood initiative.
