Verizon CEO Dan Schulman announced on Oct. 27 that Christina Schelling has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer of the U.S. telecom carrier, to lead its people organization.
According to Verizon's official announcement, Schelling joined the company in 2022 and has since reimagined how Verizon attracts top talent and helps employees grow their careers, while challenging the company to prepare its workforce for the future. She played a critical role in Verizon's transformation workstreams and accelerated AI fluency and adoption across the enterprise through the development of the AI Unlocked program. Schulman said Schelling has earned the trust of her team and the broader leadership team, and is the right leader for the company's people organization at a pivotal time. (Source: Verizon)
