波兰获选设立欧洲PAC-3导弹维护设施：美国国防部宣布，洛克希德·马丁与五国推进
美国国防部10月27日宣布，波兰已被选定为欧洲PAC-3「爱国者」防空导弹系统维护设施的所在地。这将是欧洲首座此类设施，由洛克希德·马丁公司与美国、波兰、德国、荷兰、瑞典五方合作推进；今年7月在土耳其安卡拉举行的北约峰会上，各方已签署探讨设立该设施的意向书。

PAC-3是「爱国者」防空系统的最新一代拦截弹，采用直接碰撞杀伤技术拦截弹道导弹、巡航导弹与飞机。波兰近年大幅扩充防空与导弹防御力量，已采购多套「爱国者」系统，此次维护设施落地将进一步补强欧洲东翼的防空保障链条。
Poland Selected to Host PAC-3 Missile Maintenance Facility in Europe, Pentagon Announces
The U.S. Department of Defense announced on October 27 that Poland has been selected to host a PAC-3 Patriot missile maintenance facility in Europe, the first of its kind on the continent. Lockheed Martin will advance the project together with the United States, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden; the parties signed a letter of intent in July, on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara, Türkiye, to explore establishing the facility.
The facility will provide technical maintenance, testing and readiness support for PAC-3 MSE and CRI interceptors, but will not manufacture missiles. Older PAC-3 interceptors fielded in Europe currently have to be shipped back to the United States for servicing, a round trip that takes months; once the facility opens, interceptors can be serviced in Europe, sharply cutting turnaround time.
Jay Pitman, president of Lockheed Martin International, said building maintenance capacity in Europe will return allies' PAC-3 interceptors to readiness faster. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Poland had beaten competitors, including Germany, in the selection.
The PAC-3 is the latest interceptor for the Patriot air defense system, using hit-to-kill technology against ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and aircraft. Poland has sharply expanded its air and missile defenses in recent years and has purchased multiple Patriot batteries; the maintenance facility will further strengthen the support chain on NATO's eastern flank.
