通用汽车宣布股票由纽交所转至纳斯达克上市：11月17日起继续以「GM」代码交易
通用汽车公司（General Motors）10月27日宣布，将把公司普通股的上市地由纽约证券交易所转至纳斯达克全球精选市场，预计11月17日起以纳斯达克上市公司身份交易，股票代码保持「GM」不变；其股票将在纽交所交易至11月16日收盘，现有股东无需采取任何行动。（GSM 据通用汽车公司声明、路透社报道）
通用汽车执行副总裁兼首席财务官 Paul Jacobson 在声明中表示，公司以客户为中心、技术驱动的战略正在为股东创造价值，随着公司成长，纳斯达克是其上市的天然归宿，并感谢纽交所长期以来的合作。转至纳斯达克后，通用汽车将具备入选纳斯达克100指数的资格，但公司同时提示，具备资格并不保证入选，仍须经过标准审核程序。
据路透社报道，通用汽车市值约644亿美元；该公司1911年首次在纽交所上市，是第一家在该所交易的汽车公司，2009年破产后退市，2010年经政府救助重组后通过首次公开募股重返纽交所。沃尔玛、希尔顿等知名公司近年也相继将上市地由纽交所转至纳斯达克。
General Motors to Transfer Stock Listing From NYSE to Nasdaq, Keeping Ticker GM From November 17
General Motors announced on October 27 that it will transfer the listing of its common stock from the New York Stock Exchange to the Nasdaq Global Select Market, expecting to begin trading as a Nasdaq-listed company on November 17 under its existing ticker symbol "GM." Its shares will continue to trade on the NYSE through the close of business on November 16, and existing shareholders need take no action on the transfer. "General Motors' customer-focused, technology-driven strategy is creating value for our stockholders, making Nasdaq a natural home for our listing as we grow," said Paul Jacobson, GM's executive vice president and chief financial officer, who also thanked the NYSE for its long partnership. GM noted that a Nasdaq listing makes it eligible for possible inclusion in the Nasdaq-100 Index, while cautioning that eligibility does not guarantee membership, which comes only through the standard review process.
According to Reuters, GM has a market value of around $64.4 billion. The automaker first listed on the NYSE in 1911, the first automobile company to trade on the Big Board, was delisted after its 2009 bankruptcy, and returned to the NYSE with its 2010 initial public offering following a government rescue. Walmart and Hilton are among the other well-known companies that have recently moved their listings from the NYSE to Nasdaq.
