Anaheim Man Charged With Murder, Arraigned Oct. 27: Accused of Stabbing Man Found in Bed With His Wife
An Anaheim man in Orange County, California, was charged with murder and scheduled to be arraigned on October 27, after prosecutors say he came home from work early and stabbed a man he found in bed with his wife. In a charging announcement released the same day, the Orange County District Attorney's Office said Ismael Pinedalopez, 34, of Anaheim, faces one felony count of murder and one felony enhancement of personal use of a weapon, and a maximum sentence of 26 years to life if convicted on all counts.
The case stems from the evening of Saturday, October 24, 2026. According to the District Attorney's Office, Anaheim police received a call regarding a stabbing at a home in the 700 block of N. Pine Street. Officers found a bloodied Pinedalopez at the home and discovered the body of 28-year-old Nicholas Garcia inside the bedroom Pinedalopez shared with his wife; Garcia had been stabbed multiple times with a pocketknife. Prosecutors said Garcia was in his underwear in bed with the defendant's wife along with the couple's two young children. Pinedalopez's wife and the two children — a two-year-old daughter and a four-year-old son — were not hurt.
"Violence is never the answer, and it is truly heartbreaking that these young children had to witness their father commit such a horrific act of brutality in their own home," Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said. The case, number 26NF5484, is being prosecuted by Senior Deputy District Attorney Mark Birney of the Homicide Unit.
The District Attorney's Office said Pinedalopez was scheduled to be arraigned on October 27; the outcome of the arraignment had not been announced as of publication. GSM will follow the case as it moves through the courts. The charges are allegations, and Pinedalopez is presumed innocent unless convicted in court.
