MIAMI, Miami-Dade County, Florida — Rough weather delayed three cruise ships by roughly six to seven hours at PortMiami on October 27: Norwegian Joy berthed at 12:50 p.m., Queen Elizabeth at 1:15 p.m., and Norwegian Getaway at 1:35 p.m.
Norwegian Joy and Norwegian Getaway were completing four-night Bahamas sailings, and Queen Elizabeth a 12-night Eastern Caribbean voyage. Boarding for Queen Elizabeth's and Norwegian Joy's departures that day was pushed back, with passengers told to arrive about seven hours later than originally scheduled; Queen Elizabeth's disembarkation began at 3 p.m., with the last passengers leaving around 5:30 p.m. Another ship, Mein Schiff 1, skipped Miami that day and continued directly to San Juan.
