Oklahoma: Employee of Operator Oak View Group Arrested in Funds Investigation at Shawnee's Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center
SHAWNEE, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma — Oak View Group (OVG), the operator of the city-owned Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center, notified the city in late July that an internal investigation had found an employee suspected of mishandling center funds. The employee was fired by OVG and arrested by Shawnee police.
The city said the employee was not a city employee and had no access to city bank accounts. OVG has pledged to repay the city in full once the amount involved is determined. Officials have not released the arrested employee's name or the amount involved, and the investigation is ongoing.
