Maine: Biddeford Housing Authority Appoints Burmeister and Emhiser as Directors
BIDDEFORD, York County, Maine — The Biddeford Housing Authority (BHA) announced on October 27 that Eric Burmeister and William Emhiser have been appointed as directors of both the BHA and Southern Maine Affordable Housing.
The BHA was created by the Biddeford City Council in 1985 and manages 15 properties with nearly 150 homes. Burmeister previously served more than 12 years as executive director of the Polk County Housing Trust Fund in Des Moines; Emhiser is a former Biddeford Ward 1 city councilor, serving from 2019 to 2025. The two organizations said the new directors' housing-policy and municipal experience will support local affordable-housing work.
