夏洛特青少年宵禁试点11月1日启动：未满18岁者晚10时至次晨6时不得逗留公共场所，试点为期十个月
美国北卡罗来纳州梅克伦堡县夏洛特市，夏洛特-梅克伦堡警察局（CMPD）表示，「青少年保护条例」试点将于11月1日启动：未满18岁、未独立生活的未成年人在每晚10时至次晨6时不得逗留在公共场所，试点为期十个月。夏洛特市议会已于上月批准这一试点。
条例设有例外：由家长、监护人或其他成人陪同的未成年人，以及因上学、工作或宗教活动往返的未成年人，不受宵禁限制。市府表示，此举是为回应近来多起青少年大规模聚集滋扰（所谓「teen takeovers」）事件，既防止青少年滋事，也避免他们成为犯罪受害者。
警方表示，执法将以教育引导为主，而非处罚，违反宵禁不会成为警察拦停车辆的理由。

In Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) said the Youth Protection Ordinance pilot will begin on November 1: unemancipated minors under 18 must stay out of public spaces between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., in a pilot lasting ten months. The Charlotte City Council approved the pilot last month.
The ordinance includes exceptions: minors accompanied by a parent, guardian, or another supervising adult, and those traveling for school, work, or religious activities, are not restricted. The city said the measure responds to a series of disruptive mass gatherings of teenagers, known as "teen takeovers," and aims both to prevent disorder and to keep young people from becoming victims or suspects.
Police said enforcement will focus on education rather than punishment, and a curfew violation will never serve as grounds for a traffic stop.
