美国劳工部10月全国残疾人就业宣传月：2026年主题「彰显价值与才华」，配合建国250周年全年活动
10月是美国的全国残疾人就业宣传月（NDEAM）。美国劳工部残疾人就业政策办公室（ODEP）负责主办这一年度宣传，今年的主题为「彰显价值与才华」（Celebrating Value and Talent），旨在肯定残障劳动者为全国各工作场所、社区与经济带来的技能与贡献。
劳工部介绍，这一纪念始于1945年，当时是为期一周的全国活动，表彰身体残障人士的贡献；1988年，国会将其定为全国残疾人就业宣传月，范围也扩展到包括心理健康状况等非显性残障在内、推动增加残障人士就业机会。2001年ODEP成立，并受托主办宣传月，包括每年主题的选定与推广。
劳工部表示，今年主题延续去年的庆祝精神，并配合美国建国250周年：残障美国人自建国之初就是国家成功的一部分。今年的纪念活动也是劳工部全年致敬美国劳动者、支持「Freedom 250」全国活动的一环。
负责残疾人就业政策的助理部长Julie Hocker在主题发布时表示，今年的主题致敬过去与现在残障美国人的价值与才华，更重要的是确认对未来的承诺：让每位劳动者都有机会从事高需求的技能型工作，走向独立、经济自给与美国梦。
U.S. Department of Labor Marks National Disability Employment Awareness Month: 2026 Theme Is 'Celebrating Value and Talent'
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) in the United States. The annual observance, led by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), recognizes the positive impact of people with disabilities in the American workforce. This year's theme is "Celebrating Value and Talent."
The observance began in 1945 as a weeklong national recognition of the contributions of people with physical disabilities. In 1988, Congress expanded it to a month, and it evolved to acknowledge the importance of increasing employment opportunities for people with disabilities, including those with mental health conditions and other nonobvious disabilities. ODEP was created in 2001 and entrusted to administer NDEAM, including selecting and promoting its annual theme.
The Labor Department says the 2026 theme carries the spirit of last year's celebration forward in honor of America's 250th birthday, and that this year's observance plays an important role in the department's year-long celebration of the American worker in support of the nationwide Freedom 250 initiative.
"Americans with disabilities have been a part of our nation's success from the very start," said Assistant Secretary of Labor for Disability Employment Policy Julie Hocker when the theme was announced. "This year's theme honors the value and talent of disabled Americans, past and present. Most importantly, though, it affirms our commitment to the future and full participation.
