Texans Assess Noel's Toe Injury on October 26; Dell Could Get More Playing Time After His Return
In Houston, Harris County, Texas, on the afternoon of October 26, Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said wide receiver Jaylin Noel is still being evaluated to determine the severity of his turf toe injury. Noel left in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the New York Giants with the toe injury, and the Texans went on to lose 27-21 in overtime, falling to 2-5. Meanwhile, Tank Dell returned last week after missing about 22 months, playing 14 offensive snaps and making one catch for 43 yards, with no new injury issues. If Noel is sidelined for a period, Dell could take over some of his snaps, and new acquisition Marvin Harrison Jr. and Kayshon Boutte are also options.
