'Love Kitchen' serves free pizza for five days starting Oct. 26; about 8,000 West Virginia residents to benefit
Buckhannon, Upshur County, West Virginia — On Oct. 26, the Little Caesars 'Love Kitchen' mobile kitchen arrived in West Virginia to begin a five-day free community meal program, expected to benefit about 8,000 residents. According to a Little Caesars news release issued Oct. 26, the program will provide about 2,000 pizzas in total, one stop per day with about 400 pizzas per stop, enough for about 1,600 people. The first stop was Buckhannon on Oct. 26, followed by Charleston on the 27th, Huntington on the 28th and Welch on the 29th. The program is carried out by local franchisee Vickie Dunn-Marshall's team, in coordination with the Mountaineer Food Bank and Facing Hunger Foodbank, which identify the recipient organizations in each community and deliver hot meals to people in need. Kristin Snyder, national head of the Little Caesars Love Kitchen, said franchisees are closely connected to the communities they serve, and these five stops reflect their commitment to helping their neighbors.
