Valley View and Seven Hills, Cuyahoga County, Ohio — Avtron Power Solutions announced on Oct. 26 that it is expanding its Northeast Ohio operations, adding 150 jobs and retaining 285 existing positions. The company will also add 12 product lines and expand production scale. The Ohio Department of Development approved tax-credit support for the project at that day's Ohio Tax Credit Authority meeting. Avtron's load banks are used to verify the reliability of backup generators; the company has been rooted in Northeast Ohio since the 1950s. Company leaders said the expansion and new product lines will serve a growing customer base, with partners including Valley View, Cuyahoga County, Seven Hills, the Ohio Department of Development, JobsOhio and Team NEO. The state said the project shows Ohio's workforce and business environment continue to attract investment in the power technology field.
