Arkansas Early Voting Pauses Sunday, Resumes Monday; Voters Should Follow County-Posted Hours

Early voting for Arkansas's 2026 general election is under way, but Sunday, October 25, is not an early-voting day. According to the schedule published by the Secretary of State, early voting began on October 19, and the locations and hours published by each county election commission vary, so voters should check their own polling place's specific arrangements before heading out. The site-by-site schedule published by the Washington County Election Commission shows the last early-voting day is Monday, November 2. In Fort Smith and the Arkansas River Valley, official city election notices list voting sites including the Sebastian County Courthouse and the Creekmore Community Center, with different sites open on different dates. Early voting resumes on Monday, October 26. Related reminders note that "early voting is open" does not mean every site is open every day, and voters should follow the hours published by their county clerk to avoid a wasted trip. Election Day for the 2026 U.S. midterm elections is Tuesday, November 3; in addition to early voting, Arkansas voters may also go to their designated polling place on Election Day.
