GOODING, Idaho — A fatal single-vehicle crash occurred near Gooding in Gooding County on the afternoon of October 25, and Idaho State Police reported follow-up details on October 26. The crash happened at 4:32 p.m. on October 25 near 2251 South 1800 East in Gooding County. A 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by a 21-year-old woman, with a 20-year-old woman as passenger — both from Gooding — was traveling southbound when the driver lost control; the vehicle left the roadway and rolled. The driver was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital, and the passenger died at the scene.
State police said it is not yet known whether the two were wearing seatbelts, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation. The Gooding County Sheriff's Office and the Gooding County Fire Department assisted at the scene.
