Charlotte Hornets Host Washington Wizards on the Night of October 26
The Charlotte Hornets will host the Washington Wizards at home on the night of Monday, October 26, with tip-off set for 7 p.m. Eastern at Spectrum Center. Both teams currently hold 2-1 records, and this Southeast Division matchup will directly affect the standings in the middle of the Eastern Conference. The Hornets have exceeded many preseason expectations early on, and their home-court atmosphere is seen as one of the team's advantages; the Wizards have also gone 2-1 through their first three games, and their resilience on the road bears watching. For the Hornets, a home win streak would help consolidate the momentum of a team led by a young core, while the Wizards hope a road win will prove they are not a team that only wins at home. According to the NBA injury report, the Hornets have players sidelined by injury and the Wizards likewise have rotation players listed as questionable, so both lineups will be confirmed only at the last moment before tip-off. Nine NBA games are scheduled for the night of October 26, and the Hornets-Wizards game is among the earliest to start. Both teams face new opponents later this week; the Hornets travel to face the Detroit Pistons on October 28, making for a packed schedule. Charlotte fans can watch the game on local television and streaming channels.
