Woman Sexually Assaulted at Knifepoint in New York's Central Park; Suspect Flees, No Arrests
A man armed with a knife sexually assaulted a 39-year-old woman in New York's Central Park near Fifth Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, and then fled the scene, the New York Police Department said. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where she is listed in stable condition. As of Saturday night, police had made no arrests and were searching for the suspect.
Police asked anyone with information to come forward. Residents near the park said they were shaken by the news.
