At the key moment, quarterback Arch Manning led an 80-yard drive in just six plays, scoring himself on a 1-yard run, and kicker Spetich added a field goal to close out a 34-27 win. Manning finished 18 of 30 for 212 yards with one touchdown pass and two interceptions, plus two rushing touchdowns. The win moved Texas to 5-2 and up to No. 11 in the latest AP poll. It came at a price: according to an ESPN reporter on October 25, left tackle Trevor Goosby injured his knee in the Ole Miss game and will miss the rest of the season.
