On October 25, Fox Weather released Santa Fe police body-camera footage showing the New Mexico city battered after a severe storm on Saturday night. The storm, bringing heavy rain and strong gusts, hit the Los Cedros and Camino Carlos Rey neighborhoods; officers went door to door that night checking on residents. In the footage, multiple large trees were uprooted, power lines came down — some onto homes — a utility pole lay on the ground, and debris littered yards and streets. Officials said cleanup had begun, with crews and residents clearing branches and debris from roads and yards. The National Weather Service said a flood watch for Santa Fe remained in effect through Sunday, with 2 to 3 more inches of rain expected statewide through Tuesday and strong winds and hail the main threats; the Fox Forecast Center said the Level 1 severe-storm risk covered mainly southeastern New Mexico and far West Texas, and residents were urged to watch for downed lines and broken trees and to detour around damaged road segments.
