Colorado Crushed 57-24 at Oklahoma State, Scoreless in Second Half for Fifth Straight Loss
On the night of October 24, Colorado lost 57-24 on the road to Oklahoma State, its fifth straight defeat. The first half was close, with Colorado taking a 24-23 lead into halftime, but quarterback Isaac Wilson fumbled on the first play of the second half and Oklahoma State seized control, scoring 37 unanswered points to win by 33.
Wilson completed 14 of 16 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns in the first half before unraveling after the break; Colorado also committed 11 penalties for 84 yards. Head coach Deion Sanders admitted afterward that the team never recovered from the turnover. Oklahoma State quarterback Drew Mestemaker completed 21 of 36 passes for 386 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions, and the Cowboys piled up 598 yards of offense.
Colorado, now 2-5, hosts Kansas State on October 31 with its starting quarterback spot in question.
