Utah beat Houston 21-13 in a Big 12 matchup, scoring all 21 of its points in the second half after being shut out for the first 40 minutes. Utah trailed 3-0 at halftime and 10-0 midway through the third quarter before surging ahead 14-13 early in the fourth. The go-ahead touchdown came on a direct-snap run into the end zone by running back Wayshawn Parker, and quarterback Devon Dampier added a 22-yard rushing touchdown.
Houston quarterback Conner Weigman passed for 282 yards in the loss. Utah remains the Big 12's only unbeaten team under head coach Morgan Scalley, and the game marked the program's 100th consecutive home sellout.
