North Dakota Falls 26-23 in Overtime at South Dakota as Freshman Quarterback Throws Winner
No. 6 North Dakota lost 26-23 in overtime on the road to No. 8 South Dakota in FCS play. South Dakota led 20-3 in the first half, but North Dakota rallied after the break to tie the game and force overtime. In the extra period, South Dakota freshman quarterback Austyn Modrzewski threw the game-winning touchdown pass to Brayden White.
North Dakota's quarterback lost two fumbles, and the miscues proved costly. South Dakota improves to 7-2 with its first top-ten win of the season.
