Houston: Houston Grand Opera's 'Susannah' Sunday Matinee at Wortham Center on Oct. 25
On October 25, Houston Grand Opera's production of "Susannah" was performed in a Sunday matinee at the Brown Theater of the Wortham Theater Center in downtown Houston, at 2 p.m. The opera is the opening production of this performance season; the Sunday matinee has the same content as the evening performance but is friendlier for families and daytime travelers. The opera tells a story of moral judgment and personal resistance in a rural community, with striking music and dramatic tension, and is one of the key productions of Houston's fall stage. The organizer reminded audiences to arrive early and to note the running time and entry arrangements, with traffic around downtown expected to be fairly busy on Sunday afternoon.
