New Orleans Halloween Half Marathon Runs Oct. 25 on a Lakefront Course
On October 25, the 11th New Orleans Halloween Half Marathon, 10K and 5K starts on the lakefront, with the start line near the Blue Crab restaurant at 7900 Lakeshore Drive. The fully closed course runs along the New Orleans lakefront, about 6.2 miles from the French Quarter, and the finish features live music and seafood, adding to the festive atmosphere. Organizers said temperatures will be about 61°F in the early morning, rising to a high of about 78°F in the afternoon, with zero chance of rain — ideal for running. The Halloween-themed event has become a popular local fall family activity, drawing many runners, families and friends.
