West Virginia Routs Glenville State 103-66 in Exhibition: Five Players in Double Figures
The West Virginia University men's basketball team beat Glenville State 103-66 in an exhibition on the night of Oct. 23, getting its preseason off to a strong start. By the final eight minutes the Mountaineers had stretched the lead to 88-47, and five players finished in double figures. Head coach Ross Hodge used the game to give playing time to players who did not appear in the earlier game against Maryland; guard Keontre Greber came off the bench to score nine points. West Virginia previously beat Maryland in its first exhibition; after the rout of Glenville State, the team will close the preseason against Wheeling before opening the regular season at home on Nov. 2.
