Schaumburg-Based Success Lending to Close: 121 Layoffs Starting Nov. 2, Including 21 in Illinois
According to an Oct. 24 report in the Journal Star, Success Lending, a mortgage joint venture headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois, will close and lay off 121 employees starting Nov. 2. A filing with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity shows the permanent layoffs include 21 Illinois employees and 100 out-of-state employees who report to the Illinois headquarters. Success Lending is located at 1750 East Golf Road, Suite 240, in Schaumburg. Last month, eXp World Holdings and Kind Lending announced their intent to close Success Lending; eXp has since rebranded as AGNT and is reportedly exploring a new joint venture with financial services company Newrez. An eXp spokesperson said the owners of Success Lending jointly made the strategic decision to wind down the venture.
