The North Carolina Central Eagles beat the Delaware State Hornets 31-12 on the night of Oct. 23 at Alumni Stadium in Dover, winning the teams' Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opener and ending a four-game losing streak. Freshman running back Gino Addison carried 31 times for a career-high 214 yards and two touchdowns, scoring on runs of 6 and 16 yards as the Eagles put up 21 points in the second half.
