夜市是为庆祝香港市场广场（Hong Kong Market Place）40周年而举办的活动。主办方表示，香港市场广场作为家族经营的杂货店，40年来一直服务于达拉斯-沃斯堡社区，这次夜市是向长期支持的顾客、租户、摊贩与邻居致谢的方式。活动把亚洲著名夜市的氛围带到北德州，现场有各类摊位与表演，店内同时推出40周年40项特惠。
亚洲时代广场是达拉斯地区亚裔社区重要的商业与文化聚集地，夜市活动也吸引了不少非亚裔居民前来体验。对于达拉斯华人社区而言，这类设在社区商业中心内的夜市，既是购物与聚餐的周末去处，也是不同族裔居民走进亚裔社区文化的窗口。

The night market celebrates the 40th anniversary of Hong Kong Market Place. The organizers say the family-run grocery store has served the Dallas-Fort Worth community for 40 years, and the night market is a way to thank the customers, tenants, vendors and neighbors who have supported it. The event brings the atmosphere of Asia's famous night markets to North Texas, with stalls and performances on site and 40 anniversary deals inside the store.
Asia Times Square is an important commercial and cultural hub for the Dallas area's Asian community, and the night market also draws many non-Asian residents. For the local Chinese community, a night market at a neighborhood commercial center is both a weekend destination for shopping and dining and a window through which residents of all backgrounds can experience Asian community culture.
