Nuggets Update Injuries Before October 24 Game Against Pelicans: Johnson Among Several Questionable; Jokic and Murray Seek a Bounce-Back
The Denver Nuggets of Denver, Colorado, updated their injury list before their October 24 home game against the New Orleans Pelicans, with several rotation players questionable and the team again in "next man up" mode. According to the injury report released on the night of October 23, Cam Johnson's status is the focus; Alpha Diallo is questionable with a sprained right wrist and could still be upgraded or downgraded before tip-off; Spencer Jones will miss a second straight game with a bilateral hamstring injury and is considered day-to-day; and Julian Strawther remains out with the left knee sprain he suffered in the preseason, to be re-evaluated in late November. Denver's injury troubles have carried over from last season, leaving head coach David Adelman constantly adjusting his rotation. Stars Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray had poor first games and are looking to bounce back; Aaron Gordon was outstanding in the opener against Oklahoma City and is healthy again after missing 49 games last season. Denver's start has been uneven, and whether the Nuggets can steady themselves at home on October 24 will depend on Jokic and Murray rediscovering their form and on the bench covering the rotation gaps.
