Penguins Host Predators on October 24; After Silovs' Shutout, Pittsburgh Seeks a Second Straight Win
On Saturday night, October 24, the Pittsburgh Penguins of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, host the Nashville Predators at PPG Paints Arena, with puck drop at 7 p.m. Eastern. According to the Predators' official game-day preview, Nashville is 3-3-3 with 9 points and Pittsburgh 4-6-1 with 9 points. The Penguins' last game was the 4-0 home shutout of the Florida Panthers on October 22 reported by this site yesterday, when goaltender Arturs Silovs made 26 saves for his second shutout of the season to end the team's losing run; the Predators' last game was a 6-0 loss in Boston on October 23, after which head coach Andrew Brunette called it the team's worst performance of the season so far. Nashville held a full practice in Pittsburgh on Friday and says it has reset. This is the teams' first meeting of the season; the Predators will host the Penguins next month. A win tonight would give Pittsburgh two straight after its skid.
