Follow-up: 76ers Host Bucks on Oct. 24: James Ruled Out, Embiid Questionable
At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, the Philadelphia 76ers of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, host the Milwaukee Bucks at Xfinity Mobile Arena, seeking a third straight win to open the season. This site previously reported the 76ers' home debut on October 22, when they rallied from 29 points down to beat Cleveland; the new development is the pregame availability picture for October 24. According to Reuters' October 24 preview, the 76ers hope to make things easier after two wins, but the lineup remains unsettled: Joel Embiid has said he will play only one of this weekend's two games, without specifying which; LeBron James is ruled out (OUT) for lower-back and sciatic nerve management. Tyrese Maxey, who scored 28 and 32 points in the first two games and is averaging 30, has been the team's steadiest scorer. Milwaukee, meanwhile, fields an entirely new young roster after trading away franchise star Giannis Antetokounmpo. The game airs on NBC Sports Philadelphia and NBA TV. For the 76ers, this is the first leg of their first back-to-back of the season, and how Embiid and James are rotated will shape both weekend games.
