肯塔基州：Shepherdsville 男子被控五次违规登记并以重罪犯身份投票遭起诉
肯塔基州总检察长 Russell Coleman 办公室10月22日发布消息，Franklin 县大陪审团已对一名曾有重罪记录的男子提出起诉，指控其多次选民欺诈。被告 Jeffery Woodard 现年62岁，住 Shepherdsville，10月21日被捕，面临五项违规登记罪、三项重罪犯投票罪与一项惯犯重罪罪名，目前以2.5万美元保释金被羁押。
起诉书指控，Woodard 在2023年至2026年间五次违法登记投票，并曾在2023年11月与2024年的大选以及2026年5月的初选中非法投票。总检察长办公室表示，Woodard 此前曾因利用未成年人进行性表演及持有描绘未成年人性表演的材料被定罪。
该案由总检察长办公室在10月22日对外公布，案件后续将由法院审理。
Kentucky: Shepherdsville Man Indicted on Voter Fraud Charges for Registering Five Times and Voting as a Felon
A Franklin County grand jury has returned an indictment against a previously convicted felon on multiple charges of voter fraud, according to an October 22 release from the office of Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman. Jeffery Woodard, 62, of Shepherdsville, was arrested on October 21 and faces five counts of wrongful registration, three counts of convicted felon voting and one count of being a persistent felony offender. He is being held on a $25,000 bond.
According to the release, the indictment alleges that Woodard unlawfully registered to vote five times between 2023 and 2026. He also allegedly voted illegally in the November 2023 and 2024 general elections, as well as the May 2026 primary election.
The Attorney General's office said Woodard was previously convicted of use of a minor in a sexual performance and possession of matter depicting a sexual performance by a minor. The case will proceed through the courts.
