Missouri Capitol Dome to Glow Red on Oct. 26 for Red Ribbon Week
Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe has announced that the dome of the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City will be lit red on the evening of October 26 in recognition of Red Ribbon Week.
Red Ribbon Week, held each year from October 23 to 31, is the nation's longest-running and largest drug prevention awareness campaign, promoting public awareness of the dangers of drugs and encouraging young people to stay drug-free. The campaign honors DEA Special Agent Enrique Camarena, who was killed in Mexico in 1985.
Schools and community organizations across Missouri are holding drug prevention activities throughout the week.
