Honolulu 男子被联邦起诉：涉嫌在一所小学旁路怒开枪 弹丸击中上课中的校舍

Honolulu Man Federally Charged After Allegedly Firing at a Driver Beside an Elementary School, Striking an Occupied School Building
A 51-year-old Honolulu man, Joseph Chester Brown, has been federally charged with being a felon in possession of ammunition. The complaint was filed on October 15, Brown was arrested on October 22, and he made his initial appearance on October 23 before U.S. Magistrate Judge Barry M. Kurren.
The complaint alleges that on September 21, 2026, Brown fired at another man during a road rage incident beside Aiea Elementary School, and that a bullet struck the school building while classes were in session. When officers arrested Brown, he allegedly had a loaded firearm with an obliterated serial number.
The case is being investigated by the FBI and the Honolulu Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Nammar. If convicted, Brown faces up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
A complaint is only an allegation, and Brown is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
