UFC 333 Lands in Abu Dhabi on Saturday: Volkanovski Defends Against Unbeaten Evloev as Yan and Dvalishvili Complete Their Trilogy
UFC 333 takes place on Saturday, October 24 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with two title fights on top: featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski defends against the unbeaten Movsar Evloev, and bantamweight champion Petr Yan meets Merab Dvalishvili for a third time.
Volkanovski, 38, is 28-4 and goes in search of his ninth featherweight title-fight win after back-to-back unanimous-decision victories over Diego Lopes, the most recent in front of a home crowd in Australia this past January. Evloev is 20-0 and earned his shot with a majority-decision win over Lerone Murphy in March. The co-main event completes a trilogy: Dvalishvili won the first meeting in March 2023, Yan evened the score in the rematch, and Yan now defends the belt in the third bout.
The rest of the main card features flyweights Lone'er Kavanagh vs. Ramazan Temirov, heavyweights Alexander Volkov vs. Rizvan Kuniev, and featherweights Aaron Pico vs. Losene Keita. The main card starts at 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT) on Paramount+, with early prelims from 10 a.m. ET.
