Las Vegas Charter School to Close at End of 2026-27 School Year as Charter Is Terminated
FuturEdge, a charter school in Las Vegas, Nevada, will close at the end of the 2026-27 school year. The State Public Charter School Authority (SPCSA) has terminated its charter under the relevant provisions of state law (NRS 388A.306 and NAC 388A.355).
The school is operated by 100 Academy of Excellence. The authority's decision cited academic and operational standards in the charter contract and state regulations.
SPCSA official Guthrie said the authority will work with the school and the district on transition arrangements for enrolled students before the closure. The school will continue operating normally through this school year and the next, until the closure takes effect.
